2. The Boss' Geeky Son

And now another edition of how to be manly. Today lesson number 4673. Oh, man! why does this have to happen to you every couple of years? One of your boss' children reaches his or her senior year in high school and he makes them a part-time employee in your office. It's bad enough that last time you had to work with the boss' highly attractive eighteen year old daughter, whom you couldn't touch, but this time you're having to work with his eighteen year old pencil necked, pimply-faced, geeky son. This guy is about as useful as a condom in a convent. He can't do anything right, requires constant supervision and he has to be one of the biggest butt-kissers you have ever seen. I mean he's taken butt kissing to new heights. Finally, one day he is walking past your desk carrying a load of blueprints when he knocks your cup full of steaming hot coffee right into your lap. As you scream in pain he tries to apologize but you have had it. You want to let this little runt know how you feel but how can this be accomplished in a manly manner? Follow along in your manly manual, page 4662, and repeat after me:

  1. You know, I'd like to give you a nickname that matches your physical appearance. So, what do ya' say, "Puss Face"?

  2. Tell ya' what, why don't you sit over there are start affixing those stamps. You seem to be real good at licking the behinds of things around here!

  3. I sure miss the days when your older sister worked here. Man alive, she was the only thing that went down more than the copier machine!

Use any of the above phrases in just such a situation and one second later, when you discover that the boss' pencil-necked geeky son is also a pencil-necked geek who holds a black belt in karate when a flying jump sends your lower jaw flying across the room like a hockey puck, you can rest assured that the boss' son will have no doubts as to what kind of man you really are. Until next time, this is Mr. Manly saying be manly and good day.
