Environmental Tips of the Week:  Reusing!

One of the big "Three R's" of taking care of the environment is "reusing," and our Chamber of Commerce is providing a great way for us to do just that during Junefest this year -- the City-wide Garage Sale!  Registration is FREE by either emailing the Chamber mlchamber@sctelcom.net or phoning our extremely competent Chamber Guru Jessica Rausch (886-3417).  Registered garage sales will be listed on a map that will be available at convenience stores before Junefest and will be included in the advertising that will cover an 100-mile radius!  So pull those outgrown or unused items from the closets, basement, garage, and other places they've been tucked away, slap a price sticker on them, contact the Chamber office to register, and get ready to rake in some nice change -- as well as providing someone else a great bargain and saving items from ending up in the landfill!

And if the garage sale project won't work for you, remember that consignment stores can help you take care of items to be reused, as will putting a big "Free for the taking!" sign on a bigger item and setting it in your yard!

(We hope you appreciate this additional way for the high school to

communicate with you.  However, if you would like to have your name removed

from the email list to receive the weekly MLHS newsletter, just

reply to this email, typing "Remove" as the subject.)
