My Favorite Song Is |
Because |
|
~Carla~ |
Non Ti Scordare Di Me! (Don't Forget of Me!)sung by Pavarotti |
I have many favorite songs..this one in particular because it was one of my mother's favorite songs..her family played it for her when she left Italy with us to come to Canada. The music and the words are unforgettable here's the refrain..."Don't forget of me, my life is tied to you! I'll love you ever more, in my dreams you'll always remain. Don't forget of me, my life is tied to you.., there will always be a place in my heart for you... Don't forget of me!" And I never will... I'll love her always. My mom passed away November 16, 1992. |

Denial |
HmMmmmmmmmm. Probably Temptation by Tom Waits |
I don't know why, really. It's not my absolute favourite song, but it's the grooviest there ever was. I can dig it. Slap my fro, mama. |
|
Dragon |
Go your own way by Fleetwood Mac |
Why? It hit me out of the blue recently in more ways than one ... |
|
Dreamer |
THE ROSE |
because even though love can hurt it also gives hope and with the last lines of the song it does give such hope. "Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snow lies the seed that with the Sons's(sun's) love in spring becomes THE ROSE!" |
|
EZ2PLZ |
Bridge Over Troubled Water |
When Mrs. EZ and I were going together we had a fight and didn't see each other for many weeks. This was the song I played every night, hoping that she would come to her senses and get back together with me. |
|
El Stewie |
"Desperado's"
by the Eagles |
because the words take me back in time to a place I miss very much. basically, I relate to the song. Another good one is "Your money Ain't for Nothing" by Dire Straits. |
|
Flit |
The flute piece Picard plays, not sure of the name. |
Why? so many reasons..it's haunting, bittersweet, and since there are no words, I can never mess up the lyrics. And besides, there's something very sensual about a tall, bald man with great hands playing an exotic instrument, yes? |
|
Graybeze |
Wayward Wind by Patsy Cline |
It is a pretty song and it was a song that I listened to with my first girlfriend in high school. |
|
Island Girl |
I have many favorites but one that comes to mind is: "Because you loved me" By Celine Dionne |
Why? When the song had first come out I could apply it to so many people who've helped me through difficult times. *Geez how depressing eh?" lol |
|
mystic |
I have tons of favorites for every special moment in my life that trigger a warm thought or feeling in my heart. Perhaps the "first" special song would be "Don't You Know" by Della Reese |
Because it reminds me of my Dad. He would play it and his little dog would howl and howl to it every time. We would laugh and have a lot of fun. My Dad is deceased and when I hear that song, he's alive again, laughing and smiling. |
|
Northern Sunshine |
The Dance and The River |
The Dance because without taking chances you will miss alot in life and the River because for years I sat and let the world go by and missed alot of things. I took the world in my own hands and now I do not let the water go by untouched. |
|
Roadmap |
I have many I really like, but this one you probably all know: "Chariots of Fire" |
I like this song for many reasons! I love the way it sounds and for themovie it is about. A movie that demonstrates standing up for your convictionsinspite of pressure. |
|
Redneck Girl |
Could I have this dance by Ann Murray.. |
Renegade ask me to marry while this was on the radio and I was singing toit at the time |
|
ShannaraQ |
Amazing Grace |
Why? It was my moms favorite. A very special friend promised to sing it for me some time and I am really looking forward to that. |
|
SusieQ |
"For the First Time" by Kenny Logins |
No special reason...it just a really nice song! |
|
SassyVik |
"Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" by The Police |
Why? It reminds me of when I was graduating from high school and my dear brother saved up to get me a car stereo as a gift instead of buying himself something, which was so unlike a kid brother. I played a Police tape and that's the song I remember listening to. |
|
Special*K* |
I actually have 2 tunes at this point. One is "Teach" by Crosby,Stills & Nash. The Other is by Celine Dion called "Where Does My Heart Beat Now." |
Why? "Teach" because the lyrics are true to life. We should "all" teach our children well. The latter because for some reason I am at an emotional period in my life & the tune describes my feelings at this point. I guess the pregnancy has me more emotional than usual. FIRESTARTER
from the band Prodigy |
Why techno/rave music? Its !!!LOUD-BLISTERING!!! beat relieves my tensions of the day, week..etc. It's the one song, when I'm out at a club, that I can just close my eyes and feel the music... It's rebellious, and seems to annoy alot of people...I like it! hehehe Also, Firestarter is the only song I can get my husband to dance with me to! |
