"The Ursula Episode" - This was probably the most hilariousincident I'll ever have. Some of you may have heard this one before, but forthose that haven't, here's the cliff notes:
I had a German bosslady named Ursula, who for some strange reason, hated myguts, liver included. She, along with her supervisor, John, gleefully made myworking hours miserable. Her hubby also worked for the same company.
Early one a.m., after being gently escorted out of the last open bar in thearea, a good friend (and also coworker) and I stopped by the office for a"pitstop." We noticed John's car parked on the street behind the office. Oncein the ladies room, we noticed that the cushions were missing from the couch(don't ask me why there was a couch in the bathroom, I have no clue).
Soooooo, we went investigating (picture two blitzed, staggering, giggling chicsin ski coats, arms out to the side to avoid "swishing" sounds, tiptoeing aroundthe halls)...and noticed a door cracked open which had been completely closedbefore. We were also convinced (double vision nonwithstanding) that eyes werepeeking out of the crack. My bud conveniently remembered out loud that the itemwe supposedly stopped by for was on the desk in the room in question, andswinging the door wide, burst into the room, impaling (yes, you guessed it)Urusla with the doorknob. Can you hear me swallowing my fists in the hallway asI hear Sandy yell, "Damn, Ursula, you scared the shit outta me...what the hellyou doing behind the door?"
Well, even the condensed version of this it waaaay too long, so i'll stophere...but you get the idea...starting the next morning, things were much moreinteresting around the ole office... |

There are many wonderful moments..one that I would love to re-live is my wedding day..at home..pinning the boutonniere on my father's lapel. The photographer was snapping pictures, telling us to smile. It was difficult because we both had tears in our eyes. I'm sure childhood memories flashed through both our minds,; and the wonderful moments we shared as a family and now I was leaving the nest. My dad was a wonderful man, his love for us was undconditional and I'm happy to say that the photographer captured that moment in time perfectly, even down to the tear filled eyes. My dad died 15 years ago.. he'll always be in my heart! As for the picture..it's on my desk. |
