1/2 cup evaporated milk

1 (14oz) bag caramels

1/2 cup margarine

1 (12oz) bag chocolate chips

 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Mix cake according to directions.

Pour HALF the batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13 pan.

 Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Melt the caramels and margarine. Stir in the milk.

 Put chocolate chips and nuts on the hot cake

 Pour the caramel mixture over this;

add remaining cake batter and bake

for 20 - 30 minutes or until done.
